My designing friend Zang Toi was honored by the American Cancer Society last week for being the #1 fundraiser for Livestrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. In addition to holding fundraising events and sales, Zang rode in the Livestrong Challenge<\/a>. That’s dedication!<\/p>\n

Naturally, I wore one of my many Zang Toi<\/a> dresses to the event. This one is navy velvet. And backless.<\/p>\n

In the photo, Miss Universe is wearing the sex-ay peacock minidress<\/a> that Eva Longoria previously wore. It’s from the same season as my green Zang gown with peacock accessories<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, my other designing friend, Christian Francis Roth, let me know that pieces from his Francis line<\/a> are now available at Bloomingdales<\/a>. Check out the subway map dress.<\/p>\n

I think it’s very thoughtful of Christian to design a dress that will save a bitch from getting lost in NYC. This would be perfect for gorgeous blogger Mahalo Jen<\/a>, who has expressed concerns about using mass transit. Next, Christian needs to design a dress with cab fare pinned to it. That’s what I need.<\/p>\n

Even without a cab-fare dress, I’m having a great day. My Victoria Buckle Ring<\/a> is on Fashion Week Daily’s Obsessions page<\/a>. Thank you, Fashion Week Daily! As a bonus, I made the Blogger Spotlight in the Independent Fashion Bloggers<\/a> weekly newsletter. My mom is so proud! Seriously, she emailed me to say she was proud. There are a lot of jewelry blogs out there, but none even come close to the hilarity and sass of Wendy Brandes. I remember when she just started her blog, as she’s an independent designer<\/a>, and when <\/span>Britney Spears<\/a> stole her ring, so she had to get the word out. A year and a half later it’s one of the best and most fun blogs on the internet. Wendy’s an absolute star.<\/p>\n
