I ordered this all-over-argyle sweater from J. Crew. I thought it would be fun to wear with white jeans this winter. But, as I expected, the small is too big and the XS will probably be too small, so I’d have to get this one taken in. Is the sweater worth the effort?<\/p>\n

Speaking of alterations, the BEST tailor in New York City is Ghost Tailor<\/a>. I’ve gone to a lot of tailors over the years, had some bad experiences and learned my lesson! Now, Jean at Ghost is the only person I allow to touch my Ossie Clark<\/a> pieces. Wait till you see the Harris tweed Ossie coat that she reconstructed for me. She really does do knits as well, and that’s difficult to find. If you’re in New York, this is the place to go. Tell her Wendy sent you! She’s by appointment only, so call ahead.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, Jean is the person who bought a Borgia ring<\/a> from me and put a tiny paint set in it.<\/p>\n
