The late Tip O’Neill<\/a>, a longtime Speaker of the House<\/a>, once said, “All politics is local<\/a>.” And I am the local representative for all you bloggers and lurkers in this small corner of the blogosphere.<\/p>\n

I come here every day, including weekends, and do my very best to make you laugh soda out your nose as often as possible. I visit your blogs (I have 200+ on my Google Reader!) to encourage your wardrobe\/artistic\/writing\/baking efforts. I leave comments as often as I can so you feel appreciated. Other bloggers spend their time savaging people’s clothing choices or, alternatively, gushing over people who look great because they have special access to designers. Do those bloggers ever take you out to dinner when you’re passing through their hometown? Do they visit your blog to tell you that you did a good job matching three different prints together, or applying your red lipstick, or frosting a cupcake? Do they care about your DIY-studded boots or bleached jeans? I think not! But I care. That’s why you should vote every 24 hours for me to win the Best Fashion Blogger award<\/a>. I am not like Caroline Kennedy<\/a>, who can’t be bothered to answer anyone’s questions and thinks she should get a senate seat just because her name is known. I am willing to shake your hand and kiss your baby … or, if you prefer, kiss your hand and shake your baby. I will also answer your questions. Feel free to ask questions in the comment section of this post, and, in my next post, I will answer all of them, excluding any that are totally fucking insane.<\/p>\n
