After sweeping the big ego and cussin&#8217; categories in the prestigious <a href=\"http:\/\/theofficialsiteofgrantmiller.blogspot.com\/2008\/12\/2008-drysdale-award-winners-for.html\">Drysdale Awards<\/a> thanks to you gorgeous bitches, I am now a finalist in the <a href=\"http:\/\/2008.weblogawards.org\/site-news\/2008-weblog-awards-finalists\/\">Best Fashion Blog category for the 2008 Weblog Awards*<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My competition is tough and it includes my own gorgeous blogging friends Winona of <a href=\"http:\/\/daddylikey.blogspot.com\/\">Daddy Likey<\/a>; Craig of <a href=\"http:\/\/altamiranyc.blogspot.com\/\">Altamira NYC<\/a>; and <a href=\"http:\/\/anniespandex.com\/\">Annie Spandex<\/a>. There are also fabulous blogs like <a href=\"http:\/\/shoeblogs.com\/\">Manolo<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com\/\">The Sartorialist<\/a>, but they&#8217;re mainstream media now, with their shit in the Washington Post and Vogues across the world. They don&#8217;t need your help! I do! I can&#8217;t live without your love! I can&#8217;t live if living is without you<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com\/\"><\/a>. I can&#8217;t live. I can&#8217;t give anymore. Consider the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I give great <a href=\"http:\/\/wbjewelry.blogspot.com\/2008\/12\/it-was-honor-just-to-be-nominated.html\">acceptance speeches<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I am the <a href=\"http:\/\/wbjewelry.blogspot.com\/2008\/01\/kneel-before-wendy-brandes.html\">ruler of the planet Houston.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I will imprint a <a href=\"http:\/\/wbjewelry.blogspot.com\/2008\/12\/eyes-on-prizes-part-ii.html\">curse word<\/a> on your face with my fist if I lose.<\/li>\n<li>Voting for me means that a blogger can write about her <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/category\/queens\/\">interests<\/a> other than fashion and still be considered a fashion blogger, which would be a nice &#8220;fuck you&#8221; to anyone who has told me otherwise.<\/li>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t vote for me, the terrorists win.<\/li>\n<li>Yes, we can!<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m think I&#8217;m older than all three of the gorgeous blogger friends mentioned above. If so, I probably have fewer years left and, therefore, fewer opportunities to win a Weblog Award. My competitors are young and will have many more opportunities. In short, I am <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001588\/awards\">Jack Palance<\/a> at the Oscars in 1992 and they are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000169\/awards\">Tommy Lee Jones<\/a>.  Tommy just had to wait a couple of years to get his award. Plus <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=g426J4Uh2m4\">I will be like Jack and do this <\/a>for you if I win. And yeah, I&#8217;ll tape it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So hop to it! Hmmm. So check back tomorrow, I guess!
