This blood-and-tears pendant is named for Lady Jane Grey, the tragic 16th century teenager known as the "nine-day queen" of England. Placed on the throne by her ambitious family, Jane was quickly forced out by Mary, the rightful heir of Henry VIII. Queen Mary later had Jane executed.
