What Wendy Wore: Festive Dress for a Knight Out

October 6, 2012 by WendyB

MrB and I were invited to a dinner last night that called for “festive dress.” I tried on one dress and decided it was more “book party” than “festive,” so I switched to this Stacy Lomman dress from her Spring 2011 collection.

What Wendy Wore
Dress: Stacy Lomman (previously seen here)
Shoes: Prada (2011)
Ring: Onyx skull ring (my own design)

I was concerned I might be more festive than most women at the event, and I was right. But I felt okay about it, especially after I got to chat with two knights: Sir Howard (Stringer) and Sir Harry (Evans). Two knights don’t make a wrong!

Speaking of Stacy, she’s got a Kickstarter campaign to raise some money to photograph her Spring 2013 lookbook. Contribute as much (or as little) money as you can! As I’ve found out in my jewelry business, you can have all the new designs you want, but if you don’t have photos to send to store buyers and magazine editors, you might as well have nothing, so this is essential for her business.

UPDATED TO ADD: I added this Friday outfit to the “Visible Monday” feature at Not Dead Yet Style, because it was plenty visible even though it was on the wrong day! Click here to see the other Visible Monday submissions.

Seriously, could you be any hotter? Love this dress on you. Kind of appropriate that you wore metal fabric to meet a couple of knights.

Definitely festive! The gold shoes were a perfect choice. What a cool opportunity to be around interesting people.

Okay, you look smashing in this gold lame goddess dress. Statuesque. Why is it that the parties I go to have more knaves than knights?

Oh, wow, a gorgeous Oscar statue come to life – you are smashing. I met some men at parties back in the day who may have *said* they were knights (or princes, can’t remember) but you met the real thing. Fabulous!

You’re like your own award statue! And 2 knights don’t make a wrong is hilarious.

Wendy you look amazing! I probably would have dressed as a Christmas Tree or something. Your outfit is just a tad more glamourous…

Now I definitely want to throw a party where “Christmas tree” is the dress code. THAT would be festive!

You look awesome Wendy! I love the dress and those shoes are amazzzing. Great interpretation of festive dress too – I probably would have turned up with tinsel as a scarf or something!

Not only festive, you look frisky in that glamorous frock! Did those knights joust about on your account? Too funny that your anti-spam word right above this message I’m writing blares BEASTIE.
