Prowling for Peplums; Bloggers on Huffington Post

December 12, 2011 by WendyB

It took a while, but my Huffington Post Stylelist piece on bloggers wearing peplums is live. Check out the slideshow and leave a nice comment for the participants!

While I was working on the post, I browsed the Internets for eye-catching peplums. These are a few of my favorites.

Burberry peplum puffer jacket. $995. Click to shop.

Labour of Love peplum blouse. $101. Click to shop.

Aqua peplum mini dress. $169.98 at ASOS. Click to shop.

Alice + Olivia peplum skirt. $198 at Shopbop. Click to shop.

As I pointed out on the Huffington Post, one of the easiest ways to find a peplum style for any budget is to search for “peplum” on shopstyle.com, which pulls from numerous online stores at once. My post also includes links to lots of celebrity peplum looks, especially the ones that put peplums on my “Never Is the Next New Thing™” fashion-trend radar.

I left a comment but don’t see it there yet. I liked Stacy’s design the best but they’re all wonderful.

Those are some cute pieces. I don’t own any peplums, but I kind of wish that I did now.

Hmm. I have a vintage Westwood skirt and peplum jacket set. To date I’ve only worn the high-waisted satin pencil skirt but maybe it’s time to whip out that jacket, too.
